Mad River Mountain is located a short 45 minute drive northwest of Columbus just off Route 33. The resort offers sking, snowboarding, and snowtubing on over 144 acres, with 24 named trails, and 3 terrain parks serviced by 12 lifts. The Avalanche Tubing Park offers a seperate day lodge, up to 10 tubing lanes, and is serviced by two carpet lifts which means you will seldom need to wait in line to get back up to the top. The season traditionally runs from Mid-December thru Mid-March but look for earlier opening and later closing dates thanks to the large snowmaking system.
As long as it gets cold snow is never an issue. MRM has the largest sowmaking system in the State of Ohio with the ability to pump over 7000 gallons of water per minute to over 130 snowmaking machines. This means you will always find the best conditions possible and most snow in the region at MRM.
